California cares about the environment and the humane treatment of animals. Multiple agencies ensure that pest control companies are insured and comply with all regulations. Obtaining these licenses is complicated, so you'll rarely find a company that is fully legal, but Ground Control is.
CA Department of Pesticide Regulation "Business License"
Despite not using chemicals, the state EPA requires a license for our business to conduct trapping in the state, and also to register in every county where we work. You cannot get this license without insurance.
CA Department of Pesticide Regulation "Applicator License"
To get the DPR business license, we must have operators that are trained, tested, and undergo continuing education and testing to keep current.
CA Department of Fish & Wildlife
Operating a trapping business in California also requires a license from Fish & Wildlife.
